Experiments were performed in triplicate 1-L acid-washed and autoclaved polycarbonate bottles containing 0.6 L medium. Enriched CO2 was obtained by bubbling a commercially prepared air/CO2 mixture. Control temperature = 20°C and control CO2 = 375 ppm. Treatment temperature = 20°C and treatment CO2 = 750 ppm. Max photosynthetic rate was the measured parameter.
